Type specimen: A.M.N.H. No. 3428, a partial skeleton (partial skeleton consisting of skull, vertebral column, and proximal portion of left forearm). Its type locality is Crater Lake Beds - Scarritt Pocket, which is in a Chattian crater lake conglomerate/sandstone in the Sarmiento Formation of Argentina.

Ecology: amphibious carnivore

Distribution: found only at Crater Lake Beds - Scarritt Pocket
