Sister taxa: Sarkanella kolebabai, Sarkanella novaki, Sarkanella vokovicensis
Type specimen: PMU D1519, a shell. Its type locality is Fjäcka, 9 km SSW of Furudal, which is in a Kukruse carbonate limestone in the Dalby Formation of Sweden.
Ecology: slow-moving low-level epifaunal grazer
Distribution: found only at Fjäcka, 9 km SSW of Furudal
