Type specimen: IVPP V 12705, a skeleton (Complete articulated skeleton). Its type locality is Daohugou (IVPP collection), which is in a Callovian lacustrine - large shale/tuff in the Tiaojishan Formation of China.

Ecology: volant insectivore

Distribution: found only at Daohugou (IVPP collection)
