Sister taxa: none
Type specimen: BP/1/3512, a partial skeleton (lacking the snout and anterior third of the mandible). Its type locality is Winnaarsbaken, which is in an Anisian dry floodplain siliciclastic in the Burgersdorp Formation of South Africa.

Distribution: found only at Winnaarsbaken
