Type specimen: Its type locality is Aoiwadani-Kosodegawa, which is in an Oxfordian/Tithonian shallow subtidal limestone in the Kosode Formation of Japan
Ecology: stationary intermediate-level epifaunal photosymbiotic-suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at Aoiwadani-Kosodegawa
