Type specimen: GCP/1/61, a skull (incl. lower jaws with parts of the first four cervical vertebrae in articulation). Its type locality is Quaggas Fontein 250, which is in a Wuchiapingian terrestrial mudstone in the Teekloof Formation of South Africa.

Distribution: found only at Quaggas Fontein 250
