Type specimen: SAM-PK-K10369, a partial skeleton (complete skull with lower jaw and some cervicals, ribs and limb elements). Its type locality is Willodene Farm, Locality 16, which is in a Wuchiapingian crevasse splay mudstone/siltstone in the Teekloof Formation of South Africa.

Distribution: found only at Willodene Farm, Locality 16
