Type specimen: FMNH UR 1308, a partial skeleton (nearly complete skull with anterior part of vertebral column and partial right forelimb). Its type locality is Richards Spur, which is in an Artinskian fissure fill claystone/conglomerate in Oklahoma.

Ecology: amphibious carnivore

Distribution: found only at Richards Spur
