Type specimen: FC-DPV 1598, a partial skull. Its type locality is Colonia Orozco, which is in a Triassic fluvial siliciclastic/conglomerate in the Buena Vista Formation of Uruguay.

Ecology: amphibious carnivore

Distribution: found only at Colonia Orozco
