Sister taxa: Mesungulatum houssayi, Quirogatherium major

Type specimen: MML-Pv 10, a tooth (right upper molar). Its type locality is Cerro Tortugas, which is in a Maastrichtian/Maastrichtian fluvial sandstone/siltstone in the Allen Formation of Argentina.

Ecology: scansorial insectivore

Distribution: found only at Cerro Tortugas
