Type specimen: UCMP 143278 (formerly UCLA VP 3132), a partial skeleton (partial skull, anterior dorsal vertebrae, partial pectoral girdle, ribs, gastralia, and limb elelments). Its type locality is BC-7 (Chickasha Formation), which is in a Roadian/Wordian deltaic sandstone/shale in the Chickasha Formation of Oklahoma.

Distribution: found only at BC-7 (Chickasha Formation)
