Type specimen: PIMUZ T 3931, a skeleton. Its type locality is Point 902, Monte San Giorgio, unspecified bed, which is in an Illyrian/Fassanian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal dolomite/shale in the Besano Formation of Switzerland.
