Type specimen: CGM 42202, a mandible (left dentary with well preserved P3-M3). Its type locality is Quarry L-41 (Jebel Qatrani Formation), which is in a Rupelian lacustrine mudstone in the Jebel Qatrani Formation of Egypt.

Ecology: arboreal omnivore

Distribution: found only at Quarry L-41 (Jebel Qatrani Formation)
