Type specimens:

  • Dionysopithecus shuangouensis: IVPP V5597, a maxilla (left maxillary fragment with M1-M3). Its type locality is Songlinzhuang, Sihong, Jiangsu, which is in a Burdigalian lacustrine conglomerate in the Xiacaowan Formation of China.
  • Hylobates tianganhuensis: P83.3, a tooth (lefgt [upper] M1).
  • Pliopithecus wangi: P83.4, a tooth (left [lower] M3).

Ecology: arboreal omnivore

Distribution: found only at Songlinzhuang, Sihong, Jiangsu
