Type specimen: KNM-MB 11660, a mandible (left mandibular fragment with P3-M2). Its type locality is Maboko Island - Maboko fm., which is in a Langhian wet floodplain tuff in the Maboko Formation of Kenya.

Ecology: arboreal omnivore
