Belongs to Siamopithecus according to S. Ducrocq 1999
Sister taxa: none
Type specimen: DMR TF 3635, a maxilla (maxilla with right P3-M3). Its type locality is Bang Mark pit (small lignite bed), which is in an Eocene terrestrial lignite in the Krabi Basin B2 Formation of Thailand.
Ecology: arboreal omnivore
Distribution:
• Eocene of Thailand (3 collections)
Total: 3 collections each including a single occurrence
