Belongs to Pleurophorella according to M. A. Pagani 2006

Sister taxa: Pleurophorella elegans, Pleurophorella munda, Pleurophorella parnaibaensis, Pleurophorella ratingensis, Pleurophorella transversa

Type specimen: MLP 29870, a shell (Composite mold, both valves). Its type locality is Cerro Mina, Sierra de Languineo, which is in a Bashkirian/Moscovian marine shale in Argentina.

Ecology: facultatively mobile infaunal suspension feeder

Distribution:

• Carboniferous of Argentina (2 collections)

Total: 2 collections each including a single occurrence
