Type specimen: a specimen in the NYSM, a partial shell. Its type locality is Jones quarry, Chazy, which is in a Mohawkian carbonate limestone in the Amsterdam limestone Formation of New York.

Ecology: nektonic carnivore

Distribution: found only at Jones quarry, Chazy
