Sister taxa: Cyrtocerina foerstei, Cyrtocerina kimmswickense

Type specimen: USNM 15685, a shell. Its type locality is Beloit (Beloit Mbr.), which is in a Turinian deep subtidal shelf limestone/dolomite in the Platteville Formation of Wisconsin.

Ecology: fast-moving nektonic carnivore

Distribution:

• Ordovician of United States (6: Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Wisconsin collections)

Total: 6 collections each including a single occurrence
