Sister taxon: Fremontoceras jewetti

Type specimen: a specimen in the collection of G. Winston Sinclair, a partial shell. Its type locality is Terrebonne, near Montreal, which is in a Shermanian/Edenian deep subtidal shelf limestone/shale in the Tetreauville Formation of Canada.

Ecology: fast-moving nektonic carnivore

Distribution: found only at Terrebonne, near Montreal
