Type specimen: SAM-PK-K8302, a partial skeleton (almost complete). Its type locality is Beukesplaas, which is in a Capitanian floodplain mudstone in the Abrahamskraal Formation of South Africa.
Ecology: planktonic suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at Beukesplaas
