Type specimen: MB.R.1290, a mandible. Its type locality is Tendaguru quarry Ig, Kindope, which is in a Kimmeridgian channel lag siltstone in the Tendaguru Formation of Tanzania.

Distribution: found only at Tendaguru quarry Ig, Kindope
