Type specimen: FMNH UR 680, a set of postcrania (seven articulated vertebrae with associated ribs; dermal scales). Its type locality is Coffee Creek, 34 (Arroyo Formation), which is in a Kungurian terrestrial claystone/sandstone in the Arroyo Formation of Texas.

Distribution: found only at Coffee Creek, 34 (Arroyo Formation)
