Type specimen: CMNH 46092, a partial skeleton (small specimen lacking braincase and posterior fins). Its type locality is Bear Gulch (Carnegie Museum Collection), which is in an Arnsbergian open shallow subtidal limestone in the Heath Formation of Montana.

Ecology: nektonic carnivore

Distribution: found only at Bear Gulch (Carnegie Museum Collection)
