Sister taxon: Listracanthus hystrix
Type specimen: UALVP 47002, a dermal scale (assemblage of dermal denticles). Its type locality is C cirque, Fossil Fish Lake, Wapiti Lake, which is in a Smithian offshore siltstone in the Sulphur Mountain Formation of Canada.
Ecology: nektonic carnivore
Distribution:
• Triassic of Canada (3: British Columbia collections)
Total: 3 collections each including a single occurrence
