Type specimen: AMNH 43527. Its type locality is AMNH1061, Cerro de Pasco, which is in a Norian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Chambara Formation of Peru.
Ecology: stationary epifaunal photosymbiotic-suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at AMNH1061, Cerro de Pasco
