Type specimen: ANBSP 62892, a shell. Its type locality is Section SG1, Smith Gut - unit A [Smith Gut Mbr, Flanner Beach Fm], which is in a Pleistocene coastal sandstone in the Flanner Beach Formation of North Carolina.
Ecology: facultatively mobile infaunal suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at Section SG1, Smith Gut - unit A [Smith Gut Mbr, Flanner Beach Fm]
