Type specimen: IGM 5058, a shell. Its type locality is CSUN Loc. 1293 [Bateque Fm], which is in a Lutetian offshore mudstone in the Bateque Formation of Mexico.
Ecology: facultatively mobile low-level epifaunal suspension feeder
Distribution:
• Eocene of Mexico (2 collections)
