Type specimen: IVPP V14391A, B, a partial skeleton (incomplete skeleton with bony impressions preserved as part and counterpart). Its type locality is Daobaziliang, which is in a Barremian/Aptian fluvial-lacustrine siltstone in the Huajiying Formation of China.
