Type specimen: MPSC-Am 893, a skeleton (articulated, relatively complete adult specimen). Its type locality is Barbalha, which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large limestone in the Crato Formation of Brazil.
Ecology: amphibious carnivore
Distribution: found only at Barbalha
