Type specimen: CGM 83690, a mandible (partial left mandible preserving P4–M3 and masseteric fossa). Its type locality is Birket Qarun 2, which is in a Priabonian channel sandstone in the Birket Qarun Formation of Egypt.

Ecology: arboreal omnivore

Distribution: found only at Birket Qarun 2
