Type specimen: IVPP V14711.1, a tooth (Right M1 or M2). Its type locality is Subeng Unit 3 (Mammal Site), which is in a Gashatan fluvial-lacustrine conglomerate in the Nomogen Formation of China.

Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore

Distribution:

• Paleocene of China (2 collections)
