Type specimen: IVPP V15113, a skeleton (Nearly complete skeleton). Its type locality is Daxishan, Linglongta, which is in a Bathonian/Kimmeridgian lacustrine sandstone/mudstone in the Tiaojishan Formation of China.
Ecology: volant piscivore
Distribution: found only at Daxishan, Linglongta
