Type specimen: KNM-ME 11, a maxilla (left premaxilla and maxilla with dI1-dP4, M1, and unerupted I1). Its type locality is Meswa Bridge locality 36, which is in a Chattian channel sandstone in the Muhroni Agglomerates Formation of Kenya.
Ecology: arboreal omnivore
Distribution: found only at Meswa Bridge locality 36
