Type specimen: USNM 646423, a shell. Its type locality is TU 999 - Farley Creek, which is in a Burdigalian marine marl/sandstone in the Chipola Formation of Florida.
Ecology: facultatively mobile deep infaunal chemosymbiotic

• Miocene of United States (5: Florida collections)
