Sister taxa: Pygmaepterys alfredensis, Pygmaepterys drezi, Pygmaepterys germainae
Type specimen: USNM 294290, a shell. Its type locality is TU 546 - Tenmile Creek, which is in a Burdigalian marine marl/sandstone in the Chipola Formation of Florida.
Ecology: epifaunal carnivore
Distribution:
• Miocene of United States (5: Florida collections)
Total: 5 collections each including a single occurrence
