Sister taxon: Nothodipoides planus
Type specimen: F:AM 65277, a mandible. Its type locality is June Quarry, which is in a Clarendonian terrestrial horizon in the Valentine Formation of Nebraska.
Ecology: amphibious browser
Distribution:
• Miocene of United States (2: Nebraska collections)
Total: 2 collections each including a single occurrence
