Type specimen: IGM 4002, a mandible (right mandibular fragment with the posterior part of m1 and m2-3). Its type locality is Tubutama, which is in a Miocene terrestrial horizon in Mexico.
Ecology: ground dwelling browser-browser
Distribution: found only at Tubutama
