Sister taxon: Redondasuchus reseri
Type specimen: NMMNH P-43312, an osteoderm (partial right dorsal paramedian plate). Its type locality is NMMNH locality 2671, which is in a Norian lacustrine - small conglomerate in the Redonda Formation of New Mexico.
Ecology: herbivore
Distribution: found only at NMMNH locality 2671
