Sister taxon: Coloborhynchus clavirostris

Type specimen: LINHM 016, a partial skull (Anterior part of upper jaw with teeth). Its type locality is Beg'aa, west of Hamada du Guir, which is in a Cenomanian fluvial sandstone in Morocco.
