Sister taxa: Guichiella styliformis, Guichiella subrotunda
Type specimen: Nanjing Inst. Geol Min Res H1218, a valve (Left valve). Its type locality is Dalongshan Section Bed 3, Panjiaqiao, Guichi, which is in a Smithian carbonate shale/limestone in the Qinglong Formation of China.
