Type specimen: STMV002, a skeleton (almost complete articulated skeleton lack the sternum and tips of both wings). Its type locality is Yangwapuzijifang, which is in a MN 12/MN 13 terrestrial claystone in the Liushu Formation of China.
Ecology: volant carnivore
Distribution: found only at Yangwapuzijifang
