Type specimen: NMC 40608, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is Cape Grassy, Melville Island ichthyosaur, which is in an Oxfordian/Kimmeridgian marine /sandstone in the Ringnes Formation of Canada.

Ecology: nektonic carnivore

Distribution:

• Jurassic of Canada (2: Northwest Territories collections)
