Type specimen: SGS-UM 2009-002, a partial skull. Its type locality is Harrat Al Ujayfa, which is in an Oligocene mire/swamp horizon in the Shumaysi Formation of Saudi Arabia.

Distribution: found only at Harrat Al Ujayfa
