Type specimen: MCM.M0009, a partial skull (Partial articulated skull, preserved in three dimensions, missing anterior portion of snout, and skull and braincase elements posterior to the orbit). Its type locality is Katsurazawa River dam, which is in a Santonian/Campanian offshore sandstone in the Kashima Formation of Japan.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore

Distribution: found only at Katsurazawa River dam
