Type specimen: NMNS 004529/F003826, a skeleton (a nearly complete and articulated skeleton, missing the distal tail). Its type locality is Near Chajiang, about 10 km NW of Xingyi, which is in a Ladinian marine limestone in the Zhuganpo Formation of China.
