Sister taxa: Leptostega abrupta, Leptostega frankenwaldensis, Leptostega irregularis

Type specimen: PIN 5083/0092, a shell. Its type locality is 7-96.0, left bank of the Bol'shaja Kuonamka River, which is in a Botomian carbonate limestone in the Emyaksin Formation of the Russian Federation.

Ecology: slow-moving low-level epifaunal detritivore

Distribution:

• Cambrian of the Russian Federation (2 collections)

• Solvan of the Russian Federation (1)

Total: 3 collections each including a single occurrence
