Sister taxon: Aristonectes quiriquinensis

Type specimen: MLP 40-XI-14-6, a partial skeleton (skull and cervical vertebrae). Its type locality is Cañadón del Loro, which is in a Maastrichtian marine horizon in the Lefipán Formation of Argentina.

Ecology: aquatic carnivore

Distribution:

• Cretaceous of Antarctica (1 collection), Argentina (2)
