Type specimens:

  • Meyasaurus faurai: MGB 534 (Museu Geologia de Barcelona, a set of postcrania (partial postcranial skeleton). Its type locality is La Pedrera de Meià, El Montsec, which is in a Barremian lacustrine - large limestone in the La Pedrera de Rúbies Formation of Spain.
  • Rubiessaurus lapicidinarum: LP=0098 IEI/G, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is Santa Maria de Meya, secondary quarry, which is in a Barremian lacustrine - large limestone in the La Pedrera de Rúbies Formation of Spain.

Ecology: ground dwelling insectivore-carnivore

Distribution:

• Cretaceous of Spain (2 collections)
