Sister taxon: Osteomya (Yunnanomya) ninglangensis
Type specimen: IVy 0211, a valve (Right valve, external mold). Its type locality is Lubei, Huize County, which is in an Anisian marine horizon in the Leikoupo Formation of China.
Ecology: facultatively mobile deep infaunal suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at Lubei, Huize County
